about
Leiana started her career as an intern at the renowned Kajem Victory Recording studio in Philadelphia. Wanting to be more than an assistant engineer, she then went on to pursue an education at both NYU and the University of Pennsylvania, ultimately earning a degree in Philosophy. Her love for music led her to the halls of the Musicians' Institute in Hollywood, where she honed her skills and joined multiple bands.
Returning to her roots in Philadelphia, under the alias Leiana, she released her first full-length CD, "Page," under her label, Page Records in 2004. Recorded at The Clubhouse with Daniel Goodwin- engineering. Collaborating with multi-instrumentalist Chuck Treece, a former pro skater and prolific musician with an impressive list of credits, including The Roots, Bad Brains, G.Love, Billy Joel, and more, "Page" became a notable success.
The follow-up album, "No Going Back," recorded at Bombshelter Studios (owned by Stone Temple Pilot drummer Eric Kretz) in Los Angeles and mixed by Matt Knobel (Lenny Kravitz), garnered attention through various sync placements.
For her major label debut, "Lucky #3," (EMI) she enlisted the expertise of producer Eddie Wohl(Anthrax, Ill Nino, Fuel, Smile Empty Soul), along with acclaimed musicians like Rob Caggiano(Volbeat, Anthrax), Sean Danielson(Smile Empty Soul), Brett Scallions(Fuel), John Tempesta (White Zombie), and Ken Schalk(Candiria, Fuel).
Her music has taken her on extensive tours across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. She decided to expand her horizons again in 2014, learned bass, and started a new band called The One2s with her now-husband Sean Bombz.
The couple opened a recording studio in Philly in 2015 with much success. They added another studio in Westover, MD in 2017 with a drum room modeled after Kajem’s famous drum room. After moving to Westover full-time in 2019, they further expanded the business into a YouTube Channel and Blog for musicians, music producers, and creatives.
