Nobody's Talking About This! - DJI MIC 2

Sean Bombz from Raccoon Point Studios discusses the newly released DJI Pocket 3’s microphone. He expresses disappointment with its audio quality, describing it as flat, filtered, and muffly compared to its predecessor, the DJI Pocket Two s microphone. Sean, as a sound engineer, critically analyzes the sound, noting it sounds like a 1999 Nokia cell phone. He conducts a live test with an external lav microphone, the Rode Lab mic, to compare the sound.

Despite these criticisms, Sean acknowledges the other advantageous features of the DJI Pocket 3 such as its built-in SD card with eleven GB storage and the 32-bit float recording feature. This adjustable recording level assists in capturing high-quality audio, even in noisy environments. He highlights its convenient form factor and the fact it has a built-in magnet.

Sean concludes that while the DJI Pocket 3’s microphone has issues, the system as a whole offers compelling features. He also reminds viewers to like and subscribe to his channel for further pro audio content.
